moved

We moved. our new house is amazing. We have views from every room and the space is much more comfortable. Only 2 floors instead of 4. That doesn't mean my last house was a palace, it was just about 1 room on each floor. It was like living in a silo.

Our new house is full of light.

The neighbours have been great, we have had welcome cards and a basket of flowers.

Everyone has lived in the hamlet a long time but they are very welcoming.

However, we are having pet troubles. We never managed to integrate the 2 cats and 2 dogs. They lived on different floors. Now we have to find a way to help them live together in the same space.

Also we currently don't have a cat flap. As we have just moved I normally keep the cats in for a few days to help them settle and get used to their surroundings. This means the dreaded litter tray.

To add to the complications there is a stray cat that is hanging around and is a bit of a fighter so when my cats do go out they have to face tough tom cat.

The cats are anxious about the dogs, the new house, the litter tray and the tough tom cat.

They generally have a look of sheer fright and confusion in their eyes. They are skittish and pooing alot. This then results in about 3 hours worth of kitty litter scraping.

I think they are digging for England in the plastic tray.

The dogs looked bemused and are a bit barmy.

Last night I let the cats out for a little test run but then they wouldn't come back in. So I had to leave the door open through the night and hope for their return. At one point there was alot of cat screeching so I went to the rescue.

There I was running around the hamlet in my nightie and trainers plus north face jacket trying to rescue my cat from the tough tom. I am not sure who was more scared, my cat of the tom or me of the tom. It looks so mean.

Security lights were going on, dogs were barking, cats were screeching. It was all a brilliant introduction to my new neighbours.

We have had lots of advice from, just leave them in a room to fight it out to just get rid of the cats. All very helpful.

We have bought a cat flap so that should help, at least with the cat litter tray.

Apart from the pet issues the house is amazing. It is home. I think I may have found the one.
