Educated

The internet opens doors and minds. Or at least it does for me. I realise, often that I am not educated.

There is so little I know. There are so many things other people know. There is so much to learn, ways of living, thinking, being, seeing.

I come from a working class family that I now understand has very strong working class traditions.

The people I grew up with and stayed around are similar, slightly removed but similar. I have a family full of character.

I love the fact that the internet gives me insight into other worlds and lives. The stream of thoughts of other women in particular that lets me feel I am not alone. I am not isolated. This is normal. This is life.

My mind and my intellect have been the tools that have released me from a life that I would not have chosen but would have been chosen for me. They allowed me to push and move forward, see a different life and live it.

I am privileged to have that capability. And now I plan to use it for the next phase of my life. I can now see a path. It may involve more reading and less obsessive right move searching but I think I can live with that.
