This Saturday morning feels like a Saturday morning. The sun is shining gloriously on the blue early winter sky, reflecting leaves, light and green moss through my living room windows.
We live on the second floor so our view is sky and trees. I am looking up now to see golden green larch tree branches and, in between the trees, a belting blue sky.
I should be outside running but H and I both have the obligatory early winter colds and for him a chest infection.
My nose is very red and sore. My cold started mid day at work yesterday with only toilet roll to hand as my nose streamed snot. Absolutely nasty.
A mixed week. Started Monday morning in a deep gloom and wanted to resign. So desperately wanted summer and pottering and no work. Met two very bright guys who inspired me and challenged me. One inspirational female business leader, owner and coach. By the end of the week I was enjoying it again. I think I need some time to see if I can settle back in.
Hs mum is setting into her little home, he bobbed in for a cup of tea and sorted out her chimney, her cat for some unknown reason was trying to get into the hole and climb up the chimney.
I had an embarrassing moment yesterday. Seems to be an age thing. Sat at my desk and my chest kept making burping sounds. I don't even burp, ever. Must be the cold, or an age thing. However, young man sat at the desk next to mine looked perturbed but politely did not acknowledge the burping and sniffling of the red nosed middle aged lady sat next to him. He even made me a cup of tea.
The week that was my third back in work. The hum of routine is beginning to return. Good or bad it is the usual thing of life. Everything has a pattern. We just need to get aligned to it. Or at least I do. I need my pattern back.
